Family

My wife and daughter have been gone for 21 days, back east visiting family, and they arrive tonight. I can imagine, my wife will be at the end of her rope, my daughter will be whining and crying from all the travelling, and they will be the most beautiful sight I can possibly imagine. They’re delayed into Chicago-O’Hare (anyone surprised there?) so they’ll be an extra hour waiting.. Fun fun.. Or not.

NoWriWhenever

I know I missed the cutoff for NaNoWriMo, but hey, who needs to be constrained. I’ve been sketching out an outline for a novel that I want to write, so maybe I’ll tackle it in the new year. The whole concept is inspired by a quote out of the Neil Gaiman book ‘Neverwhere’ – it’s something I’ve been stewing over in my mind, thinking and wondering about it, and I think I’ve almost got enough to start. I’m sure it won’t be the magnificent piece of work that Antwon put out this year, and it may even lack a goat character, but I’ve gotta start somewhere, right?

My Regular Reads

I read some blogs on a regular basis – by that I mean that part of my morning routine is that I go and see if there’s new stuff. and most of my regular reads are either sluggish as of late, or having technical difficulties. C’mon people, get on the ball.. your loyal readers are stagnating out here. Ealasaid, get your hosting people to get off their asses! Everyone else, spare some time. I’m bored. Really, really bored.

TV Space Out

It’s late and I’ve been zoning in front of the tv for a couple hours.. you know, like there’s nothing really on, but there’s nothing really better to do, so you’re flipping and flipping and etc.. so I land on VH-1 and it looks like one of those ‘behind the music’ dealies.. And I’m watching, they’re talking about guy 1 and guy 2 and how they met in school, and did the musicals, etc etc.. and it’s not for like 20 minutes that I realize that I’m watching a show about N’Sync. Damn, I gotta get to bed, my brain is clearly, CLEARLY not in good shape.

Work Events

So A guy comes in here at work late, and he’s pissed. I mean really, really pissed. Not ‘I’m gonna git me someone’s hide’ pissed, but definately ‘I’m gonna rip into someone’ pissed. So he rampages around for a bit, getting madder and madder (he tried to take today off and was told that he HAD to be here, despite the fact that he had no urgent tasks). The Director and all managers were locked up in some all-day meeting so he didn’t find anyone. After a half hour or so he gets really fed up and just leaves anyways. Good job by the managers.
